Why you should see this show…
Legendary power trio Glass Harp, featuring world-renowned guitar virtuoso Phil Keaggy, bassist Daniel Pecchio, and drummer John Sferra, will be making a rare live appearance at the Music Box. Credited as pioneers of the “jam band” and “progressive rock” genres, the youthful Glass Harp recorded three albums in New York City between 1970-1972 and toured hard nationally in support of those albums, playing to thousands as headliners and opening for the top acts of the day (Traffic, Chicago, the Kinks, Yes, Iron Butterfly, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and more). So incredibly gifted a guitarist is Keaggy, that persistent legends have dogged him for decades regarding a quote attributed to Jimi Hendrix, who, when asked how it felt to be the best guitarist alive, is said to have responded, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Phil Keaggy!”
