    https://doldrums.bandcamp.com/album/esc

ERRHEAD is a new alias of Montreal producer Airick Asher Woodhead, who has previously performed as Doldrums,

The alias started was started to play sets at Montreal’s Drones club in 2016, and Errhead was later asked to performed at Bossa Nova Civic Club & Trans Pecos in NYC, Marble Bar in Detroit, Bambi’s & Holy Oak in Toronto. The sets focus on building a warm, spacious tape-y sonic environment, with interlacing grooves sometimes breaking out into violent onslaughts.

There are guest vocals by Blunt Chunks & Sami Blanco on the forthcoming PLAYGROUND EP, as well as some collaborative production on tracks with Jordan Christoff (leaving records, aural canyon), Ylang Ylang (crash cymbals, ΠΑΝΘΕΟΝ)

The tracks are accompanied by videos directed by Airick, with an interest creating an ‘visual and auditory aesthetic paradisal loops, like rotating hypnagogic hallucinations trapped in a snowglobes’, using raw chemical film processing like coffee, bleach and found 35mm commercials.

Airick has previously performed as Doldrums, releasing 4 LPs (on Arbutus records & Sub Pop records), touring with bands including Crystal Castles, Grimes & Purity Ring, appearing on Boiler Room TV twice and at festivals like Primavera (Barcelona, Spain), The Great Escape (Brighton, United Kingdom), Best Kept Secret Festival (Tilburg, ND), OFF Festival (Katowice, Poland), Transmusical (Paris, France), FYF Festival (Los Angeles, California), Sappy Fest (Sackville, NB), and Festival d’Ete (Quebec City, PQ).

    Deaf Poets
    www.deafpoets.net

Deaf Poets are an American garage/alternative rock duo formed in Miami Beach, FL. The band consists of Sean Wouters (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Nico Espinosa (Vocals/Percussion). Their music is the embodiment of hard-hitting drums with distortion-soaked guitars. Wouter’s childhood influences, such as Jimmy Page and Kurt Cobain, led the duo to combine elements of 70s rock, with the aggressiveness of 80’s punk, and an added aspect of 90s grunge to define their sound. The duo met in elementary school; and during their high school years, they went through a long process of musical experimentation, which ultimately led to the founding of Deaf Poets.

The duo cemented their place in the South Florida indie scene by performing at numerous music venues across the city such as, Churchill’s, Bardot, Gramps and Grand Central- ultimately earning the title, “Best Band of Miami” in 2014 as well as being apart of the, “20 Most Influential People of Miami” award in 2015, by The Miami New Times. Their single, “Degenerate Mind”, from their debut album “4150” was selected to be a part of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 video game soundtrack and was also featured in Classic Rock Magazine’s compilation CD in 2014. Deaf Poets have become regulars at iiiPoints music festival, performing for four years in a row, alongside acts like, Mac Demarco and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. In 2015, Deaf Poets supported the indie dance duo, Matt and Kim, throughout their Florida tour dates. They have also shared the stage with Andy Rourke, The Ettes, Pujol, Jennie Vee (Courtney Love), Ted Leo and The Pharmacists, The Peach Kings, The Psychedelic Furs and The Growlers.
